As a kid you would ride for ever. Speeding down hills without brakes. You’d sleep dog tired and full of the days fun bits and the scary bits. You’d jump from the top of that fossil laden chalk pit scraping yourself to pieces. No fear. You and your bike, a kid with a freedom machine, on a mission to explore everything with the mates you liked.
As a grown up the new toys are really the same. Freedom and adventure is at your fingertips and your friends can be found even when they are in the middle of the ocean sailing a catamaran. Every week there’s an upgrade for something in our world. There are no brakes. There is no slowing down. Work is not really work now. The methods are cleaner, easier, smarter, simpler and it’s great to explore all of this with your mates who you like(d) and liked you back.
It’s amazing how much you can get done when the snow hits the ground and you cannot get anywhere. Just being able to focus and complete the stuff on the back burner feels really good.
Postie has just delivered the latest issue of Computer Arts, Typography. Nothing like a good read…offline!!
Looking at the best way of organising years of travel photography with duplicate ref numbers in 30 folders. 8000+ high resolution shots. Just about to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Have looked at the forums and it all seems ok. So fingers crossed it all works as with any progress there are always a few gremlins. One of our favourite movies, Gremlins, but that another post.
Sometimes your brain hurts and you need to refresh it… give it food. We have this app on our ipad and has become a real favourite. It nestles amongst wired.com www.etsy.com and so we don’t forget any inspired ideas evernote.com
It feeds and nurtures your imagination. Feeds your thirst for the world and the changes in it. You make it yours by choice of content too.
Reminds us of the magazines we used to put together years ago using a wholly different method mind you. Oh how we miss Cow gum and the smell of magic markers. Now if only ipads or apps could be scratch and sniff!
